Synchronicity, The Ten of Cups and Dream Magic
My absolute favorite card is the Ten of Cups because it represents my dreamiest dream in life, which is to have a beautiful, happy family. I know it's my dreamiest dream because it's the only one that makes me cry in anticipation. It's the only thing I know for sure I have to do before my physical body leaves this good earth.
Other things I want to do:
I want to do all of those things very much but none of them make my eyes fill with happy tears the way they do when I see a mother singing to her baby in Central Park, or a boy on the shoulders of his father on the Fourth of July. To achieve my dreamiest dream, I've been practicing dream magic. In my journal I have it written down: I wish to have a beautiful family. At first I wrote down, I wish to be famous but I scribbled that out because I want this more. Before I go to bed every night I'm supposed to say a prayer about this dream, visualizing the feeling but not specific details. It feels so good to think about, the best before bed happy tears. The trick is, this prayer/visualizing is to be done every night but sometimes I forget. "Doing it every night is what separates the people who get what they want from the people who don't," says the article I lost. I know I shouldn't have to be reminded of my dreamiest dream but beginning tonight, I'm going to set an alarm on my phone because this is very important to me.
This morning, I asked the cards: What do I need to know right now? What do I need to know about love and life? I prayed, please tell me something that will make me feel really good.
I pulled the Ten of Cups, my favorite card in the whole deck. And in the evening, I stepped outside and saw a rainbow. The last time I saw a rainbow I was doing handstands on a beautiful day at Scott Lee's house. A boy I like sent me a text message. I take the Ten of Cups and a rainbow in one day as a good sign to keep saying my prayers at night.

- Publish one to two books of poems (quality not quantity).
- Write a gorgeous memoir on the level of Patti Smith's "Just Kids."
- Become a highly respected and sought-after freelance writer.
- Write, direct, and act in my own TV show or movie, like Mindy Kaling or Woody Allen.
- Own a publishing house/record label/talent agency specializing in artists who are in the vortex.
- Own a super cute all in one bookstore/gift shop/cafe/post office.
- Live the life of a witch. (My definition of witch: A highly intuitive woman who believes in magic.)
