The Queen of Pentacles - Day 2

Yesterday I pulled my very first tarot card to begin my journey in strengthening/trusting my intuition. I didn't ask a specific question when I pulled it, but I hoped for a card that would speak to me about this new path I'm embarking on. It was the Four of Wands, a welcoming, happy, celebration card.

Today, I was inspired to ask a question: What do I need to know about love right now? This is the card I got:

Queen of Pentacles

What I see on first glance: A golden sky, a regal woman (queen) dressed in red with a gold crown and gold cape. She sits on a throne surrounded by flowers. There are roses growing in a frame around the image, A red rabbit in the corner, white mountains behind her. She holds a large coin with a star. Her face looks peaceful.

How it makes me feel (before research): This card in relation to my question makes me feel like I have fortune and luck on my side. Love is coming to me and with it, peace and abundance. Initially the red to me symbolized that it wouldn't be too much longer and the white mountains, pureness.

Meaning (after research): This card, along with the other Court cards, usually represents a person, but it could also be you. It could be someone lurking around in your subconscious from the past or who's important in your life right now, someone who will help you when you really need it. It may be inevitable that they will be a part of your future. This person is a loving, supportive, nurturing soul, they are kind with a big heart for helping others, they're down to earth, resourceful, family-oriented and trustworthy. The natural scenery in this card shows that if the question or situation presented is taken care of, it will grow big with goodness. This card is ruled by the planet Venus.

Personal: Initially I didn't interpret this card as myself but as I continued researching I changed my mind. I think this card came to me on the second day of my journey to say, "This is the card that will continue to remind you of who you are and the path you desire. The material world is important to the Queen of Pentacles because she desires security. When her material world is taken care of, she is free to enjoy the simple things in life without worrying.

"In modern times her role has been degraded considerably because the term "homemaker" and "housewife" are devalued. She sees no problem with expressing love with the creation of a happy home. Many people seem to have a problem with that and think she should get a real job. A true Queen of Pentacles will tolerate such people, who obviously have no idea how "real" her job can become (ata-tarot.com)."

"She generally succeeds at all she puts her hands to and uses her talents creatively and can succeed as both a mother and a business executive."

Brag alert: That's definitely me. :) And I don't care if it's too much to ask but I realize now that I also want these traits that I see in myself in a partner. The Queen of Pentacles is patient and that's another important aspect I took away from this card. She knows who she is, she knows her worth, she knows she will find love. "When the time is right, it will be made abundantly clear (ata-tarot.com)." I believe this next time is the time and I won't settle for anything less than exactly what I want. It comforts me to know that love doesn't have to be hard, that I can just keep being myself, stay in love with the Universe, and it will come when it's ready. Until then, I am exactly what I want and where I need to be.
